Tera Kuno is a non-profit organization developing biodiverse, edible forest gardens—so-called agroforestry systems—in the Brazilian Amazon and shaping them as learning spaces. The organization focuses on agroecology, nutrition education, environmental education, and decolonial approaches to learning, combined with art and cultural exchange.
Through the project “Arte & Escola na Floresta” (Art & School in the Forest), Tera Kuno creates spaces for hands-on learning in and with nature. Children, youth, and adults experience how healthy nutrition, forest conservation, and collective action are interconnected.
Tera Kuno’s work bridges local knowledge, ecological practice, and international solidarity—supporting vibrant forest gardens, strong communities, and a sustainable food culture in the Amazon. Tera Kuno’s initiatives are funded through foundations, donations, and project-based activities, helping to generate real impact in the region.
